A saree is mainly worn by females, an Indian attire. It is a strip of un-stitched cloth, ranging from 5 meters - 9 meters in length, that is draped over the body in various styles. The sari is usually worn over a petticoat, tied at the waist, with one end draped over the shoulder along with a blouse baring about 4" - 6" of midriff. Indian wedding saris are typically red, a tradition that goes back to India's pre-modern history. Saris are usually known with different names in different places. The sari is widely regarded as a symbol of grace in South Asian cultures.
